Heineken launches its Alcohol free beer

Afficher l’image source
Dutch brewer Heineken has launched a non-alcoholic version of its namesake beer with the aim of becoming the global leader in a part of the market growing faster than the average.

The world’s second-largest beer maker launched « Heineken 0.0 » at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona and will sell it in 17 markets, across Europe and also Russia and Israel, unlike rivals which have non-alcoholic beers for individual markets.

Zero alcohol beers could offer brewers higher margins because of lower taxes and could see them muscling in on the soft drinks market with what they say is a more natural and healthier option.

Heineken 0.0, for example, has half the calories of standard Heineken or Coca-Cola.

Multi-can packs will be replaced by cardboard packs, which are sustainably sourced, recyclable and fully biodegradable.
The new sustainable beer packs will be on shelves on the island of Ireland from August 2019 and from Summer 2020 in Great Britain and other international markets. Individual cans are fully recyclable, including the widget which is contained inside cans of Draught Guinness.

A label that comes to life

sans-titre
If you like the original concepts around wine bottles then this innovation will please you!
Created by Treasury Wine Estates (the world’s largest wine production company), 19 Crimes is a wine whose image has been worked on with quite remarkable intelligence.
Using a free application available on Android or iOS, the consumer who has the bottle of 19 Crimes in their hands will be able to animate their label. Each of them presents a person who then reveals his or her identity and the crimes for which he or she has been convicted.
19 Crimes refers to the list of 19 crimes that the British regime condemned to expulsion to Australia (which was then under their domination) from the 18th century onwards. A sentence « worse than death » since the prisoners were sent to the other side of the world, subjected to forced labour and physical sanctions as shown in the image below, extracted from the video but designed, according to the historical text.
sans-titre
We are talking here about the container rather than the content, which is quite strange for a product whose study of flavors is appreciated by those who consume it.
After all, even if it’s bad, we can still keep the bottle.

Price: 13$ / bottle

Beer consumption trend

French wines lovers are now falling for beer
wil-stewart-UErWoQEoMrc-unsplash
In fact, 2017 marked the fourth consecutive year of increases in beer sales across the country, with supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants reporting a 2.7 percent increase in the volume of beer sold. Larger retailers reported an increase of 8.1 percent.

The popularity growth of beer in France might seem astonishing to people from other countries that already have a strong beer culture, but you have to realize that beer has had a bad image in France for a long time : There’s been a feminization of consumption. We can’t say that women don’t drink beer anymore, it’s simply not the case.
The growth is thanks to more sophisticated beer : non-alcoholic beers, aromatized beers, and artisanal beers, which have seen a growth of around 11 percent nationwide and currently represent around 27 percent of the beer bought in France.

Wine delivery

CaptureThe startup based in the Vaucluse delivers wine in hand as others deliver flowers. This idea is that of Sébastien Tamagno and his associates: it operates on the principle of an e-e-boutique, launched in 2016, and the creation of a network of partner wine merchants.

The Oenojet concept? Set up a personalized delivery service for wines and spirits, based on the idea defended by a famous chain of florists…. Giving substance to this concept has therefore required partnerships with wine merchants based throughout France. Because they are the ones who take care of carrying the precious gift in person, during the day if the order was placed before 3pm.

For the moment, Oenojet works with a network of 70 wine merchants, based in the main French cities.

A solution for non-alcohol drinkers…

Capture
For anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol, spending an evening in a bar leaves little choice. There is water, of course, fruit juices or non-alcoholic cocktails. Today, there may be another option: Seedlip, the first non-alcoholic spirits.
SEEDLIP was created by entrepreneur Ben Branson to solve the dilemma of ‘what-to-drink-when you’re-not-drinking’ and is the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits brand.

The Seedlip range has three flavours. Spice 94′ contains mainly cardamom and chilli pepper. Garden 108′ contains peas, rosemary, thyme and mint. The latest addition, the’Grove 42′ is made up of three varieties of orange.
It consists of distillates of six botanicals – two barks, two spices and two citrus peels – blended together without any alcohol or sugar. The ingredients are sourced from across the globe: oak bark imported from the U.S., cardamom from Guatemala, Cascarilla bark from the Bahamas, lemon peel from northern Argentina, grapefruit peel from Turkey, and pimento berries from Jamaica.

Two sips of wine in a sample !

Based in Lyon, the start-up Vinovae refurbishes wine bottles in the form of customizable samples for professionals.
At the origin of this company, a story of friendship between Gregoire Henry and Tristan Destremau, both from entrepreneurial families and above all, passionate about wine. The idea was born in the restaurant. When choosing a wine, the two men thought: why not test the wines with samples like with perfumes? After two years of development, the first vinottes were produced.

Thanks to this 20 ml sample made of organic glass (PET), a material that preserves very well and does not break. They can contain any type of alcohol, spirits, still wine but no effervescent. It corresponds to two sips of wine : The customer can discover, before purchase, a thirsty wine or a fine wine, either at the point of sale or at home. For customers, it is a way to reassure themselves, to discover new wines or to be surprised, with the ideal quantity for a tasting. For professionals, a way to convince, sell more, move up the range and differentiate themselves. It is also an ecological and economic advantage, since with one bottle, we make 36 Vinottes. This means 36 customers are affected, and losses are reduced by avoiding the opening of entire bottles.

Want to preserve your wine longer?

Capture

Unlike conventional corks or vaccum pumps, the revolutionary zzysh® Vin preservative system retains the natural flavour and quality of the wine for several weeks after the bottle is opened.
This unique Swiss technology replaces the air in the bottle with pure argon gas for food use to protect the wine from oxidation and prevent loss of taste.
zzysh® works on all types of wines (red, rosé or white) and allows wine lovers to enjoy the wine by the glass without having to finish the entire bottle.

The object with its very refined and classy design is very easy to use and will not fail to attract the curiosity of guests if, at the end of a meal, you use it to keep the opened and unused bottles.

It is composed of the ZZYSH system, long cone (white or black), a gas cartridge and a cap (different for each category of wine). By injecting the inert gas, it takes the place of oxygen and settles on the surface of the liquid, thus forming a protective layer.

It is then enough to cork the bottle with the perfectly hermetic cork to protect the wine from rapid oxidation. This was quite successful during our use of the system.

ZZYSH announces protection up to 6 weeks after opening the bottle.

Note that a cartridge (argon neutral gas) can preserve up to 8 bottles of wine or 4 bottles of bubbly wine.

Both cartridges and caps can be purchased outside the basic set, which is covered by a 2-year warranty.

ZZYSH is available online on the Rawell website but also at any good wine store and other delicatessen at the recommended retail price of 69.95 euros.

How to use zzysh® ?
